Flood affected are deprived of shelter in Taluka Sehwan
Villagers of village Sher Mohammad Khoso UC Bobak taluka Sehwan complain that after one year of flood they are still burning in the heat of sun while living in tents. There are no facilities in these tents. Regarding this problem a government official says, “We have contacted NGO’s and requested them to build houses for homeless, there has been some progress, we are hopeful that poor and homeless people will get houses soon”.

An NGO “AHAD Foundation” is distributing food items in Johi town. People living in this town complain that only one token is issued for 10 families living in compound therefore the food is not enough. Chairman “AHAD Foundation” Mohammad Yaseen says, “We are considering those people at first place who are extremely vulnerable i.e. orphans, widows, elderly, disabled and those whose houses have been completely destroyed”.
An Interview with Commander Pakistan Navi over flash flooding in Sindh
In an interview Commander Pakistan Navi tells about the services of Pakistan Navy in Sindh. He says, “Pakistan Nave rescued people who were trapped in water, almost all affected people have been rescued, next challenge is relief in which we will provide shelter, medical facilities and continues supply of food. This big disaster has caused massive destruction in Sindh there is no single ground left to establish camps”.
An NGO is building toilets for flood affected in village Nozan Khan Brohi
IRC has build 2 hand pumps and 10 toilets in village Nozan Brohi. Villagers are happy about building of toilets and installation of hand pumps they say, “These toilets are saving us from diseases”. Villagers are facilitated after using toilets.
A report on relief services provided by Srso during last year’s flood
Sindh Rural Support Organization has played a major role in the development of flood affected areas since last year. Regarding the work of srso district general manager says, “The mandate of srso is to reduce poverty among village people, regarding flood work srso is working on health, education, shelter and child protection”.
