High price and shortage of fertilizer in market
Farmers of Dera Ghazi Khan complain that they are unable to cultivate their crops due to shortage and high price of fertilizer in market. EDO Agriculture says, “companies cannot fulfil the demand of fertilizer in market due to shortage of gas.” People have appealed the government to ensure the sale of fertilizer in market.

People took loan from khushali bank for the cultivation of crops, but their crops washed away with the flood. These people cannot return this money to the bank because they do not have any source of income. Regional Manager Khushali bank Multan says for this reason the bank has made new policies so that people can give instalments easily.

Residents of Badin complain that all places are damaged, flood has caused big loss to cotton crop and rice, and many people are still trapped and no organization is helping them. District government says, “Loss caused in Badin is by breaches in LDO”. District officer Badin says that “we are working for the relief of affected of Badin”.

DOA Assistant director plant protection tell that his department has taken action against such people, people must buy medicine from market only and take receipt along with it.

“FAO” supports agriculture sector in flood affected areas
Dr. Faiz Bari National emergency coordinator FAO explains that, “FAO is planning to give seed and fertilizer to farmers before rabbi season. FAO has given electricity, fertilizer and medicine for livestock to about 9 lac houses. Fodder is also given for livestock. Contingency planning is made for possible flood. Help for last year flood victims will continue for next two seasons”.
