Agha Khan Foundation has established medical camps in Village More Jabbar
People in village More Jabbar are suffering from various diseases, skin infections are common. Agha Khan Foundation has established a medical camp where patients of skin infections are treated. Dr. Mazhar Ali Channa says, “There are many cases of seasonal acute respiratory infection and scabies due to unhygienic conditions; we are giving medicines on daily basis sometimes we also face shortage of medicines”.
Government of turkey is building shelters in areas of district Dadu
Government of Turkey is building houses in different areas of District Dadu named as Ankara village. People are very happy after getting these houses they say, “Turkey Government has given us two bedroom houses, a toilet and a kitchen with a kitchen set made of steel and 4 beds”. Rehabilitation minister says, “Government of Turkey is helping us in many projects and supported us a lot they are building more houses”.
An interview with Public Information Officer UNHCR
During an interview Public information officer “UNHCR” tells that UNHCR is working on facilitation of a particular community of Dera Ghazi Khan. People are living either in boats or small huts. These people do not have any facilities and their employment is through selling fish and making baskets, they don’t even have ID cards. She says, “UNHCR is planning to provide one room shelter, ID card and land to these people, if work is done according to plan it will be completed soon”.
An NGO is giving health and hygiene sessions in village Rano Mallah
“Singhar Foundation has bought health and hygiene awareness among people of village Rano Mallah district Kashmore Kandkot. An official of this organization tells that his organization is taking health and hygiene sessions in which people are taught how to wash hands, maintain personal hygiene and how to dispose waste”. People of this village say, “We have gained lots of knowledge and awareness from these sessions”.
German Red Cross is building paka houses in Thatta
Residents of Taluka Bathoro district Thatta say, “They are very happy and satisfied after getting paka houses from an NGO German Red Cross. Team leader of this shelter project says, “The base is 4 feet deep made of bricks walls are 10 feet high and 9 inch thick. There is a kitchen and veranda whereas roof is made of tears and girders; they are useful in case of emergency situation also”.
