Flash flooding due to heavy rain falls in districts of Sindh have caused a massive loss

Districts such as Tharparker, Badin and Mirpurkhas recently hit by thunder storms and heavy downpour areas are flooded due to flash flooding. CRSS has reached this area. After surveying the area reporter  Sarmad Aziz says that people are trapped and waiting for rescue, and they need food and water.  Locals say that it will take 15 to 20 days for the water to subside.

Secretary UC’s, revenue staff and health department workers will be informed through an Early warning System about the situation of flood. Flood Relief camps are present in Layyah.

Relief goods and stocks available are prepositioned. IOM will help district government for early disaster warning system. Trainings for life saving are given in Punjab. After flood the main problem in UC Murgai Rajanpur is irrigation system. Due to flood big and deep holes are formed containing water in land. Many diseases are occurring due to contaminated water. People are having transport problems. District Municipal corporation Rajanpur district officer says that “dewatering is done in these areas through heavy machinery; they will be used in future for possible flood”.
