NGO “HANDS” opens temporary schools in village Shaho Jamali

The primary school of village Shaho Jamali of uc Jamali district (Kamber Shahdadkot) is destroyed by flood. Naveed Ahamd Lashari District Exective Manager HANDS tells that his organization is renovating the schools. About 11 Temporary Friendly Spaces (Tfs) are opened in these areas and children are able to continue their education.

Students in Shikarpur village study outdoors as their school is about to collapse

Students of the school in village Gabar Junejo, Taluka Lakhi, Shikarpur, study outside under the trees, as their building is not maintained by the authorities and is about to collapse. There is only a teacher available for sixty students from first to fifth grade. They don’t have any clean drinking water or toilet facility in the school. They also don’t have furniture as it was washed away in the flood last year.

Al Ghazali Education Trust establishes school in remote village in Bhakkar

Parents in UC Nanar Dagar in Bhakkar say they see positive change in their children’s behaviour after they started attending a school established by Al-Ghazali Education Trust. This school is in area only accessible by boat, and it is the first time that most of the community’s children have been able to go to school. Parents are happy that their children are getting quality education in a good environment. Teachers also say children are now more respectful towards each other and their parents.

Students of damaged schools in Mianwali still awaiting repairs

The Government Primary School in Akmalabad is one of the 9 severely damaged schools in Mianwali. The teachers and parents are growng increasingly frustrated as no one is repairing the school. They worry the building will collapse, and there is no proper furniture, walls or doors. The EDO education says while some schools have been handed over to NGOs, there is no funding in the budget for the government to rebuild schools.
