People in village More Jabbar are suffering from various diseases, skin infections are common. Agha Khan Foundation has established a medical camp where patients of skin infections are treated. Dr. Mazhar Ali Channa says, “There are many cases of seasonal acute respiratory infection and scabies due to unhygienic conditions; we are giving medicines on daily basis sometimes we also face shortage of medicines”.

Flood victims of Rajanpur especially women and children are suffering from many diseases in flood affected areas. People complain that there are no health facilities in their area. There is a BHU in an area in Rajan pur where Health organization is running 24/7 program along with coordination of UNICEF. Monitoring officer BHU says, “Health facilities are available here free of cost. Doctors, ambulance, staff and all other facilities are also present here. People from Wanda Ganda can come here for treatment”.

“Singhar Foundation has bought health and hygiene awareness among people of village Rano Mallah district Kashmore Kandkot. An official of this organization tells that his organization is taking health and hygiene sessions in which people are taught how to wash hands, maintain personal hygiene and how to dispose waste”. People of this village say, “We have gained lots of knowledge and awareness from these sessions”.

The villagers of village Usman Khan Laghari complain there is no health facility in their village. They have to travel to Johi town to get medical facility, this town is located nearly an hour drive from Johi town, many patients especially women have died during travelling in emergency. EDO Health says, “Doctors were appointed, buildings were repaired but they are working in selective areas, soon work will start on health facility in this village also”.

After flood many children in flood affected areas are suffering from lack of nutrition due to shortage of flood. People cannot afford medicine for their children. BHU in charge department of health says, “There is a program for screening in BHU Rajanpur, through which nutritive food is given to children who are extremely weak”. He suggests parents to give food in the same quantity advised by the doctor.
